Amber Prestidge - English I
Mrs. Prestidge has a bachelor's degree from University of Texas at Tyler (2009) with a major in Psychology. She has a master's degree in Education with a Specialization in Teaching and Learning from LeTourneau University (2013) and a master’s degree in Psychology from LeTourneau University (2018). Mrs. Prestidge has been teaching for five years, all of which have been at Bishop Gorman.
Her current teaching assignments include English I all levels, English II on-level and honors, English IV on-level and honors and General Psychology. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and reading/researching.
Amy Rousseau - English II
Ms. Rousseau has a bachelor's degree from Baylor University (1997) with a major in English and a double-minor of history and secondary education. She has a master's degree in Educational Technology from Lamar University (2013). A high school teacher for 21 years, she has teaching experiences in all types of schools: large suburban, rural, charter, and private. Ms. Rousseau has taught all levels of high school including Advanced Placement, Pre-Advanced Placement, honors, and on-level, but sophomore English is one of her favorites because she has taught this level for most of her career. This will be her second year at Bishop Gorman. Her current teaching assignments include AP English Literature, AP English Language, English III, and English II Pre-AP. She also serves as the English Department Chair.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, Bible journaling, and playing with her two Boston Terriers--Bailey and Charlie.
Lonnie Glosson - Human Geography, Modern World History
Mr. Glosson has a bachelors degree from Evangel University (1992) with a major in History and minors in Art and Social Studies. He has a masters degree in American History from the University of Texas at Tyler (2006). He has extensive teaching experience and has been an adjunct instructor at Kilgore College since 2007 teaching U.S. History 1301 and U.S. History 1302 in evening, summer, online, duel credit online, and hybrid classes. Mr. Glosson has taught at Bishop T.K. Gorman High School over twenty years (since 1996), teaching Texas History, Human Geography, Modern World History, and U.S. History. He also serves as the Social Studies Department Chair.
He also enjoys baseball, hiking, foil fencing, sculpting, and restoring classic cars.
Pam Konon - Physics
Ms. Konon will be the first to tell you that learning IS fun! She loves teaching. Ms. Konon has a bachelor's degree from University of Texas at El Paso (1982) with a major in Business, certified in Science and English. She continued her education at Le Tourneau University through their certification program and masters program. Ms. Konon has been teaching for 25 years and has had experiences from all over the country. Ms. Konon has taught all levels in high school and many in middle school. She has taught Biology, Physics, Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, and has taught Honors and AP English, Creative Writing and Basic Writing skills. Ms. Konon currently teaches Physics and oversees the Testing and Math Lab at Bishop Gorman.
She enjoys reading, tutoring and working with her students. In her spare time she loves the water, swimming, running, the beach and her family! She also loves dogs! This picture is of her last adventure with the Biology Club, 2018, at the Grand Canyon!
Stacy Trasancos - Biology, Chemistry, Honors Physics
Dr. Trasancos has a doctorate in Chemistry from Penn State University and a master’s degree in Dogmatic Theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. She was a research chemist for DuPont before leaving to raise children in 2003. Trasancos teaches online theology and science courses at Seton Hall University and Holy Apostles. In 2018-19, she began a new role as the director of Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Online to extend Catholic education to the entire diocese of Tyler, TX, where she is also a fellow at the St. Philip Institute. She is the author of Science Was Born of Christianity, Particles of Faith, and 20 Answers: Bioethics.
She and her husband, José, have seven children, three grandchildren, and two German shepherds. Visit her website.
