Bishop Gorman Catholic School envisions a Campus Ministry that prepares students to be involved in the mission of the Church, which is to love and serve the Lord. We aim to further the identity of the Catholic School in the ministries of service and spirituality, through community prayer and worship within our community, and to link the school family with the larger Church, and world family.
That all students are able to actively participate spiritually through prayer and the public worship of the Church, through the moral teaching of the Church, and through service.
To provide leadership roles within the student community that tap into a student's gifts, talents, and desire to share these in the areas of service, retreats, worship and prayer, and peer ministry.
To provide training for students who will take leadership roles in the areas of service, retreats, worship and prayer, and the moral life of the students.
During the month of November, the Gorman family will help other families stay warm during the winter months by donating blankets and quilts. This effort is in conjunction with the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception's St. Vincent de Paul Society. We hope to donate a blanket from every Gorman family. Donation drop it in the Gorman Cafeteria!!! See the signs soon.

St. Jude's Mathathon
Middle School students in grades 6 and 7 will participate in the St. Jude's Mathathon as part of our Advent Outreach. Students will collect pledges and sponsors for the amount of Math problems they complete. This is purely optional. The money will be collected after the holidays. Mrs. Beth Scirto and Mrs. Judy Ruesewald will be coordinating the effort. St. Jude's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN has been helping children with Cancer and other life-threating diseases for years.
Salvation Army Angel Tree
Any Gorman family can participate in this worthwhile outreach. Senior Alyssa Fratangelo will coordinate this effort on our Campus during Advent. Salvation Army Angels can be picked from the Angel Tree in the Gorman Cafeteria. A Christmas wish list is listed on each Angel under "needs" and "wants". Those who would like to participate at Gorman are asked to listen to the Announcements during Advent. There is a cut off date, so don't be late! This will begin after Thanksgiving!
