Bishop Gorman athletics is a key component of the school's mission aimed at the ongoing formation of the Christian person. Through the interscholastic program at Bishop Gorman, students gain a greater awareness of themselves and their potential for growth as Christians and learn to respect others through honest and sincere competition. |

The aim of the extracurricular programs is to give students the opportunity to develop self-expression as well as the personal qualities of sportsmanship, teamwork, dedication, and leadership on the playing field.
Today more than 90% of Bishop Gorman students participate in at least one of the school's interscholastic athletic teams, receiving lessons in responsibility to their teams, the school, and themselves.
