The Bishop Gorman Lady Crusaders captured the TAPPS 3A District 2 basketball championship on Saturday.
The Lady Cru scored a 31-27 win over McKinney Cornerstone Christian in the district tournament championship game.
Bishop Gorman trailed 17-13 at halftime before rallying for the win. Gianna Mahfood hit two free throws with 2.9 seconds on the clock to put the Lady Crusaders up by four, clinching the game.
Mahfood led Bishop Gorman with nine points, followed by Halle Lowe (7), Kate Cleofe (6), Amelia Meads (5) and Molly Madsen (4).
The Lady Crusaders improve to 17-13 on the season.
