The Model UN teams performed very well at UTT yesterday. We sent three teams- Argentina, China, and Ukraine- 24 students in all. We had two awards for position papers- Juliane Mallari & Cassie Llave for Argentina Security Council and Andrew Barclay and Auggie D'Eramo for China Environmental Council. Also, The Ukrainian team received one of the awards for Distinguished Delegation. They all worked very hard and did a great job representing Gorman.
This morning's Communion Service will be held in the Middle School Gym.

Tomorrow is a spirit day so students are allowed to wear jeans and a spirit shirt in honor of our playoff bond girls basketball team! The jeans cannot have holes or be frayed and outerwear must still be Bishop Gorman approved.
The Bishop Gorman Varsity Cheerleaders have received not one, but TWO nominations for the Varsity Brands Spirit Awards. The Varsity Brand Spirit Awards are national awards that set out to highlight individuals, groups and schools who go above and beyond to build school spirit and community pride. This year, the cheerleaders are one out of sixteen teams that are finalists for the Spirit Leader Award and one out of ten finalists for the Spirit of Sportsmanship Award. The cheerleaders have the option to attend the awards show in May at Disney World and could win a cash prize of $3000 for each winning category.
