Thanks to Sean Bryan “The Papal Ninja” who came to speak to Bishop Gorman High School students last Friday! Sean is famous for his appearances on the tv show American Ninja Warrior, and for his very visible Catholic Faith.


Gianna Mahfood is a 6th grader who started her middle school basketball season this past week. #12 has an incredible motor, plays hard, never stops and is a great teammate. Crusader fans, come out and watch this point guard for Bishop Gorman.


Taylor Wood (#33), a current junior and a member of the Class of 2022 at Bishop Gorman (Tyler, TX) is a player the college programs are beginning to take notice of . The 5'8 guard is now averaging close to 12 points a game for the Lady Crusaders. Dedicated and can score!

Abigail West (#14) is a current seventh grader and a key member of the Lady Crusader Basketball program at Bishop Gorman. She has put in the work over the summer, and the results are showing up in the "WIN" column. The two BG middle school girls squads went 5-0 last week.

The Bishop Gorman middle school girls basketball team wrapped up a perfect week of basketball for the Lady Crusaders, sweeping All Saints in two games on Friday. The Lady 'Cru won the B game, 23-7. The Crusaders would also take the A contest, 28-24. For the week, the middle school and varsity programs won all eight games played (8-0). Kate Cleofe shown in the picture had 11 points in the A game to lead all scorers. Gianna Mahfood had eight points to lead the scoring in the first game.

Lady Crusaders beat Cypress Christian today, 51-21. To go undefeated in the Brookshire Bash (All Saints Tournament). Elizabeth Mahfood (18), Taylor Wood (16), and Maria Kariampuzha (10) were all in double figures for the second consecutive game.

The middle school girls basketball team from Bishop Gorman went on the road and picked up another win yesterday, beating St. Mary's, 38-17 in Longview. Gianna Mahfood (6th grade) would lead all scorers with 11 points. Kate Cleofe (8th grade) added 10. All of our middle school teams will play All Saints today. Games tip-off at 4:30 at Bishop Gorman.


The Bishop Gorman Lady Crusaders will play Cypress Christian at 2:00 p.m. today in the championship game of the Brookshire Bash, hosted by All Saints. Junior Elizabeth Mahfood scored a game high 17 points in the 50-27 win over Grace yesterday.

Lady Cru varsity girls basketball defeated Grace, 50-27 in the All Saints tournament today. Three players in double figures. Mahfood had 17. Kariampuzha had 14 Wood added 10. The last 10 games against Grace, All Saints and Brook Hill- BG LadyCru are 9-1!
